If there is one team that has been linked to superstars during the NBA offseason, it was the Miami Heat. They have expressed interest in adding another big-name player in hopes of getting over the hump and winning a championship. An alternative route could be to trade for a cohesive complementary talent with long-term upside.
The Heat was taken down by the Los Angeles Lakers during last year’s finals because of a lack of firepower. If they were to add another star, it would help them greatly. Giannis Antetokounmpo decided to sign a five-year extension with the Milwaukee Bucks.
Antetokunmpo was one of the biggest names linked to Miami for next year’s free agency period. Now, the Heat must look elsewhere to add talent with plenty of other high-level talents already off the board.
The Chicago Bulls are a team to keep an eye on. They have two big-name players in Lauri Markannen and Zach Lavine. That he could choose to target the market in hopes of solidifying their frontcourt along with Bam Adebayo. This would also point the Bulls in the direction of a much-needed rebuild.
If these two teams were to get together for a deal, it might look something like this.
