Why the Trade Would Benefit the Boston Celtics

Terry Rozier made a name for himself in the league as a member of the Boston Celtics. He played well under Brad Stevens and knew how to be productive in the offense during a time when they needed a point guard. If he were to return, he would join Kemba Walker and fill a need on the perimeter.

The Celtics are in need of a three-point threat that could contribute consistently. Rozier proved that he is the three-point threat in the season opener by getting hot from deep. He is a player who can score at will but also play alongside other stars.

Boston needs a point guard that can set up a Tatum and Brown in a position to be successful. Boston still needs an improvement in the frontcourt but will be able to fill a need in this deal as well.

The Celtics are a win-now team and that notion will only continue with Rozier in the backcourt. It will be interesting to see if they make a deal moving forward to keep them near the top of the Eastern Conference.
