Why the Trade Benefits the Houston Rockets
If the Houston Rockets seek to remain both competitive while having some intriguing younger players, the Portland Trail Blazers are an underrated trade suitor for James Harden to consider.
A backcourt of John Wall and CJ McCollum wouldn’t provide the Rockets with an elite group, but they could thrive together. Having some dynamic talents goes a long way and Houston would have a tandem that has the potential to elevate their game with the best of them.
Gary Trent Jr. and Anfernee Simons could develop behind both McCollum and Wall. That would provide the Rockets with an intriguing blend of immediate impact and long-term potential.
Zach Collins has upside that injuries haven’t quite enabled him to tap into and the Rockets could experiment with him playing alongside Christian Wood. It doesn’t need to be a perfect fit right away as all that matters is that Houston adds talent.
