Why the Trade Benefits the Golden State Warriors

Stephen Curry has had an incredible supporting cast throughout his NBA career. The Golden State Warriors have been able to build championship teams over the years. Teams need multiple stars and contributors if they want to compete for a title. This is something that the Warriors do not have at the moment.

Without Klay Thompson, Curry is alone on the perimeter. Andrew Wiggins has shown that he is not a threat from deep. James Wiseman had an incredible debut and is looking like the real deal. Ultimately, the Warriors are a team that likes to play out on the perimeter.

This is something that Harden does well. He is used to a fast-paced offense that likes to shoot the ball quickly and from three-point range. Curry and Harden would be an extremely difficult duo to guard on the perimeter.

The Warriors were expected to compete at the beginning of the season. This would be difficult without Thompson but it is still possible. The addition of Harden would shoot them right to the top of the Western Conference.
