Washington wins 35+ games and makes the playoffs

A lot of this team’s success is placed on the shoulders of Deni Avdija, even though Russell Westbrook and Bradley Beal are the two leaders of this team. Westbrook and Beal cannot lead the Wizards to the playoffs on their own, which is why Deni Avdija will have a very important role with Washington this upcoming season.

Based on how he has played overseas and how he has looked during the preseason, the Wizards are absolutely a playoff team in the Eastern Conference, but it will not be easy for them to make it. The Orlando Magic are the only team from last year’s standings that made the playoffs and did not improve and while they may still make the playoffs, their playoff spot seems to be up for grabs.

The Atlanta Hawks, Charlotte Hornets and Brookly Nets all vastly improved this offseason as well and will be making playoffs pushes, which is why every game will be crucial for the Washington Wizards this season, especially since there are only 72-games this year. Every game against Eastern Conference opponents matters a little bit more this year and if Washington can match up well with the conference’s best teams, they should have no problem comfortably making the playoffs.

If Deni Avdija can live up to the hype surrounding him and continue to play at a high-level, then the Washington Wizards will find a lot of success, even without having a reliable big man. Adding an All-Star level frontcourt player to the mix though while holding onto Avdija in a potential trade would greatly increase the Wizards’ chances at not only making the playoffs, but making a run in them.

The Washington Wizards are going to be one of the more exciting teams to watch in the NBA this upcoming season and have a handful of offensive weapons to make things interesting in the Eastern Conference this year.
