Kyle Lowry & Pascal Siakam Will Both Be All-Stars Again
Last year, Kyle Lowry made his sixth straight All-Star game appearance, but Pascal Siakam made his first appearance of his career and it was no fluke. In his fourth season with the Toronto Raptors, Siakam stepped up and became one of their best players, averaging 22.9 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.5 assists and shot 45.3% from the floor and 35.9% from three-point range.
With Kawhi Leonard departing for the Clippers, somebody outside of Kyle Lowry had to step up and be the second All-Star level player on this team and Siakam was the one who elevated his game. He had an unbelievable season last year for Toronto and as a result, earned All-NBA Second-Team honors for the first time in his young career.
This season, with both big men from a season ago gone, both Lowry and Siakam will have to elevate their games once again to a high level and try to duplicate the success they had last season. Both players will wind up averaging 20+ points this upcoming season, but Siakam will continue to improve as a rebounder, making them both NBA All-Stars again.
Pascal Siakam will have to find new ways to improve his game this season because teams will start adjusting their defenses to stop him from using his length to get to the rim. His continued improvement as an outside shooter and avid rebounder can help elevate Pascal Siakam to being one of the elite frontcourt players in the NBA and be a perennial All-Star for years to come.
