Why the Trade Benefits the Indiana Pacers
The NBA is a business. If Victor Oladipo is not going to sign another contract, the Indiana Pacers will need to trade him and get a return. Oladipo is coming off a torn quad-tendon injury and already got his one contract from the Pacers. If they could get a player like CJ McCollum in return, it would be a huge win.
The Pacers are a playoff team in the Eastern Conference. They have some strong pieces such as Domantas Sabonis and Malcolm Brogdon. Meanwhile, TJ Warren broke out on the perimeter as a scoring threat during the restart.
This Pacers team has many pieces in place but could use that one extra threat on the offensive end who thrives as a shot creator. This is where McCollum comes into play and would fit in perfectly.
Indiana is right in the middle of the pack of the playoff picture in the Eastern Conference. This is a move to help them get back near the top like they were a few years back.
