Will The Atlanta Hawks Make The NBA Playoffs?

With a mix of proven veteran players and high-level, young talent, the Atlanta Hawks have the perfect roster to be able to make a lot of noise in the Eastern Conference after finishing near the bottom the last several years. Looking up and down this roster, it is very clear to see that shooting is the main strength of the 2020-21 Atlanta Hawks.

Trae Young is going to do his thing again this year, scoring way above 20 points per game and being an All-Star once again, but it is the impact that the other players on this roster will push the Hawks into the playoffs.

John Collins is a 20+ point per game scorer, Danilo Gallinari averaged 18.7 points per game last year and Bogdan Bogdanovic averaged 15.1 points per game last year. Not to mention Hunter, Huerter and Reddish all averaged in double-figures last year and Clint Capela has averaged double-digit scoring in every season since 2016.

Scoring is going to come at a premium for this team this year and with as many offensive weapons as they have, it will be hard to defend the Atlanta Hawks. They are deadly from the perimeter and they have some very reliable and solid big men in the low-post.

While Trae Young will be a big reason why this team potentially makes the playoffs, key scoring off-the-bench will be the difference maker for the Hawks this upcoming season. Fully healthy, this team matches up well with virtually any team in the league and with the high level shooting and scoring they have, the future is very bright in Atlanta.
