Why the Trade Benefits the Miami Heat
The Miami Heat was one of the better shooting teams in the NBA bubble down in Orlando. Players like Tyler Herro and Duncan Robinson emerged as elite three-point threats from the perimeter. Buddy Hield is one of the top shooters in the NBA and would fit right into the offensive scheme.
Something to consider, Hield is more than just a three-point shooter. He is able to score from mid-range and create his own shot off the dribble. Those are intangibles Miami could really use alongside their key cogs like Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler.
This deal would create a sort of a big three down in Miami that could keep them contending for quite some time. Also, with a strong season, Hield could revamp his trade value and be used in a sign-and-trade for a potential superstar next NBA offseason.
The Heat is equipped with many trade pieces that could be sent to the Kings in this deal. They would be able to acquire Hield while keeping Butler and Adebayo, which would be the main goal.
