Grading the Trade for the Houston Rockets

It’s difficult to have substantial confidence in a trade that features a guard who relies on his athleticism that is coming off a torn Achilles injury. John Wall also has an extensive recent injury history while being signed to arguably the worst contract in the NBA.

The Houston Rockets shouldn’t be knocked too much when considering how Russell Westbrook wanted out. That put them in a compromised situation when trying to find a trade suitor— making it worse when factoring in his agent applied extra pressure to get a deal done.

Some may view the Rockets doing what James Harden wants as a plus but that hasn’t quite worked out in the previous star pairings the team has put together to appease him. It may help temporarily, but in a year there is no telling if he’s still on the roster, or if he’ll want Wall traded, too.
