Both the Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers will enter the season as win-now teams in the Eastern Conference. There are high expectations but both teams are imperfect and could look to make a splash prior to the NBA season. This is exactly what would happen in this deal centered around Kemba Walker.
The Celtics were able to make a run to the Eastern Conference Finals during the restart. They were taken down by the Miami Heat because of their lack of depth in the frontcourt, but also due to what seemed to be ongoing knee problems for Walker.
There have been talks of the Celtics being interested in making a deal involving Walker. This would be a shock to the NBA, especially if he was sent to Philadelphia. However, Boston could be motivated enough to move on from Walker to get it done.
The 76ers were swept in the first round of the playoffs by Boston. They ended the season with many problems but they were able to get rid of one. Al Horford was sent to Oklahoma City in a deal that landed Philadelphia help from deep. They acquired Danny Green in the trade and later added Seth Curry. If the Sixers were able to deal Tobias Harris, this would be a successful offseason.
If both the Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers got together to make a deal, it could look something like this.
