Miami Heat

If there is one thing we can count on Pat Riley for, it is to always be the center of attention in the NBA when it comes to rumors about NBA superstars. James Harden would just be the latest big name to join the Miami Heat hypothetical roster with other names such as Giannis Antetokounmpo, Bradley Beal, Myles Turner and more. Although it seems like it would be too good to be true for the Heat, they have the capability to bring in James Harden.

While it would cost them young talents such as Tyler Herro and Duncan Robinson, bringing in James Harden to pair with Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo may be enough for the Miami Heat to win the NBA Finals. Miami came up short of their championship aspirations last season, losing to the Los Angeles Laker in six games in the 2020 NBA Finals.

Adding James Harden to the mix though not only gives the Miami Heat a reliable, high-level scorer, but takes a lot of pressure off Jimmy Butler to fill this role as well. Butler came into his own last season during the NBA Finals and proved to everyone around the NBA that he can be a legit offensive threat, scoring 40 points in a Game 3 win in the NBA Finals and 35 points in their Game 5 victory.

While he is known for being more of a defensive threat, Jimmy Butler can thrive as a two-way player, having James Harden be the primary ball-handler for the Miami Heat. With two superstar players in Butler and Harden, as well as Bam Adebayo, who is one of the most versatile big men in the league, the Miami Heat would be set up for championship success for the next several years and have a new version of “The Big 3.”
