The Hypothetical Trade

Magic Receive: James Harden, Danuel House Jr. 

Rockets Receive: Evan Fournier, Aaron Gordon, Mo Bamba, 2021 First-Round Pick, 2023 First-Round Pick, 2025 First-Round Pick, 2027 First-Round Pick

Wow, this is a massive blockbuster trade. If the Magic want to snag Harden, they are going to have to offer the Rockets a trade package that they can’t turn down.

This is about as close as Orlando can come to offering a trade while still keeping some of their roster intact. Aaron Gordon is a very intriguing borderline star potential and Evan Fournier is a quality veteran shooting guard. Mo Bamba hasn’t developed well so far in Orlando, but a move to the Rockets could unlock his potential.

Throwing in four first-round picks would make the Rockets seriously think about pulling the trigger on this deal. They would be going into somewhat of a rebuild with this trade and those four picks could speed up the rebuild.
