Is this the best fit for the Sixers? It might not be, but this is a team that is in need of some good players. Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid have been unable to make a run in the postseason, so it is time for the Sixers to make some moves.
They have already improved their shooting by making deals for Seth Curry and Danny Green. Adding more shooting was a necessity.
Moving forward, they will now need to improve down low. Al Horford was sent to the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Green deal. That was one contract that the team needed to get rid of.
In acquiring Blake Griffin from the Pistons, they would have a chance to get rid of another. They could potentially send Tobias Harris to Detroit in return for Griffin.
This would give the team another big-name player to lean on come postseason time. This big three could work together and get the team to the top of the Eastern Conference.
