Why The Trade Benefits The Miami Heat
The Miami Heat made a run to the NBA Finals, but came up short against the Lakers in the bubble. They seemed to be a year or two ahead of schedule, so a loss to a super team in Los Angeles is nothing to be ashamed of.
Now that they know what they are, the Heat could try to improve to stay in contention.
Jimmy Butler emerged as an elite finisher in the postseason. He made some big plays in some big moments during the restart. The Heat have put together a nice core around Butler with Herro and Bam Adebayo.
Why not continue to add role players in the form of a veteran sharpshooter with playoff experience? JJ Redick has played alongside many stars in his career and knows how to do his job. In fact, he has played with Butler already.
Miami would keep themselves near the top of the conference with a move like this one. Redick is a player who should be on the radars of many teams this offseason.
