Pelicans Receive: Dennis Smith Jr., Kevin Knox III, 2021 First-Round Pick via Dallas

Obviously, this would not be a trade that would be considered a blockbuster. However, it is a move that could make perfect sense for both teams involved.

For New Orleans to trade Ball, David Griffin would need to receive a lot of value in return. Smith and Knox both have a lot of talent, but have not been able to unlock it. A first-round pick is a valuable asset and Griffin has always loved to acquire draft capital.

If these two teams are looking to make a minor shakeup, this trade would be ideal.
