2. Toronto Raptors
The Raptors have their work cut out for themselves this offseason. There is a chance they lose some key players in free agency. Fred VanVleet and Serge Ibaka are both available on the open market and it is unknown whether they will re-sign in Toronto.
If Ibaka leave the Raptors, that would leave them weak down low. Marc Gasol is also testing free agency and could head overseas. They will need to find a replacement and Tristan Thompson is a veteran player who would help out the Raptors as they hope to continue for another championship.
Thompson and Pascal Siakam would complement each other well in the front-court. Thompson is also a pick and roll threat with Kyle Lowry on the perimeter.
There will be a lot of moving parts in Toronto this offseason. The Raptors could bring back their core or they could choose to go in a different direction, and Thompson could be that direction.
