Why the Trade Benefits the Houston Rockets

We have heard rumors about a potential Russell Westbrook trade or maybe a potential James Harden trade. Imagine the Houston Rockets just completely blowing it up and getting rid of both. That would warrant an insane return.

It begins with Ben Simmons from the Philadelphia 76ers. This would give the Rockets another cornerstone player to build around. It would get jumpstarted with Al Horford, Malik Monk, and Matisse Thybulle.

The Rockets would also add two 1st-round picks in 2020 and two future 1st-rounders. The No. 3 pick would land them an elite prospect and one to pair with Simmons. This would completely shake up the organization.

Houston is going to make a big splash move this NBA offseason but this would take it to the next level. With a new head coach and front office, the Rockets are clearly going in a different direction and that is emphasized in this trade.
