Why the Trade Benefits the Chicago Bulls

If NBA Draft capital is what the Chicago Bulls are looking for, there is no better trade partner than the Boston Celtics. Chicago currently holds the No. 4 overall pick in the upcoming draft and would add three more 1st rounders in this deal.

The Bulls already have a chance to pair one of the top players in the 2020 NBA Draft with Coby White. They have made it clear that they are rebuilding and Zach LaVine may not fit into that plan.

Both Romeo Langford and Robert Williams III showed promise in Boston and could turn into solid prospects. Taking on the contract of Hayward gives them a No. 1 option for a couple of years and a mentor to the younger generation.

This is a deal that a rebuilding team makes. It is hard to turn down three immediate first-round picks if your tone is to try and get younger.
