2. Detroit Pistons

The Detroit Pistons are currently sitting in a state of limbo. They are a team without an identity and one that lacks excitement. These are two areas where LaMelo Ball would help out immediately.

The team traded Andre Drummond prior to the restart. Blake Griffin is still on the roster but has struggled to stay on the floor. The Pistons currently hold the No. 7 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. This is their highest selection since 2010.

It is all on the table for Detroit come the night of the 2020 NBA Draft. If they are able to land Ball, this would give the team a player to build around, along with Christian Wood, Luke Kennard, and Sekou Doumbouya.

The Pistons need to completely restart and that means getting younger and finding a trade partner for Griffin. Maybe he could be included in their deal to move up. Detroit will be an interesting situation to keep an eye on come draft night.
