Why This Trade Makes Sense For The Bucks
No one will be confused about why Milwaukee would want to pull the trigger on this deal. Giannis Antetokounmpo has been rumored to have interest in leaving the Bucks if they can’t compete for a championship. Russell Westbrook would help the franchise towards that goal.
Westbrook would give the Bucks the kind of dynamic back-court scorer that they need. They would still have to go out and find some shooting help as well.
Finding a player who can take pressure off of the Greek Freak would be important. Westbrook can create his own shot, get to the rim, and create for teammates as well. His tenacity and passion would also fit nicely alongside Antetokounmpo.
Milwaukee will not want to give up Middleton in a trade package for Westbrook. This package may not be enough to get the job done, but it would make sense for both sides in some capacity.
The Bucks and Rockets may never discuss this trade, but it would be worth talking about as it could bring in missing pieces for both sides.
