Why the Miami Heat Should Do It
Jrue Holiday would be a great fit on the Miami Heat, as the organization tries to make another run to the NBA Finals next season. Making a splash to add another impactful talent would go a long way to get it done, and there may not be a better fit than the New Orleans Pelicans star.
Holiday can give the Heat around 20 points per game, and alongside Jimmy Butler, Miami would have two high-level dribble penetration threats that can get to the rim and draw fouls. Meanwhile, both players can make a major impact defensively— particularly when teamed up with Bam Adebayo.
The Heat surprised fans outside of South Beach with their run to the Finals, but Miami won’t sneak up on anyone in 2021. The addition of Holiday would be a welcomed infusion as the Heat rarely ever are complacent.
With Goran Dragic’s future with the Heat remaining uncertain, Holiday would be able to step in and fortify the backcourt for Miami next season. Miller is coming off of a torn Achilles, but he is expected to be able to return to full health.
