Boston Celtics
The Boston Celtics have been rumored in connection to Victor Oladipo this offseason, but perhaps they’d make sense for Jrue Holiday instead.
Guard isn’t Boston’s biggest need, but the first year of the Kemba Walker-era wasn’t exactly perfect. If Boston makes the drastic decision to reassess Walker’s fit, Holiday would be a good replacement.
The Celtics have other hurdles to clear first — such as the fate of Gordon Hayward’s option and what it means for the rest of the cap. But as far as an upgrade in the backcourt, Holiday would be a solid addition if it came as part of a bigger plan.
Holiday, according to the piece in The Athletic linked in slide one, reportedly wants to join a contender as he has reached age 30. Boston would be a spot where he can compete for a championship, but it might need to be as part of a series of other moves.
