Brooklyn Nets

The Brooklyn Nets are in a somewhat rare position. They have a coach who has never officially coached before, in Steve Nash. And one of their stars, Kevin Durant, has yet to suit up in a game.

In time, Durant will be ready to play, and Nets fans will get a look at the long-awaited duo of Durant and Kyrie Irving.

But Brooklyn needs to stay aggressive, and pursuing Holiday would be one way to do so. While Durant reigned over the NBA with the Warriors — to the dismay of 29 other NBA fan bases — he was only in Golden State for three years.

This window in Brooklyn won’t last forever, and the Nets need to do everything possible to surround Durant and Irving with players who can help them win. Holiday fits the bill, as he can score on his own, create for others, and defend effectively.
