This Celtics-Pacers trade breaks up the Myles Turner-Domantas Sabonis frontcourt

The Indiana Pacers have a logjam in the frontcourt with Myles Turner and Domantas Sabonis while the Boston Celtics could benefit from trading for either. There have been NBA trade rumors surrounding Turner this offseason, but Indiana moving Sabonis is an option, too.

If the Pacers look to trade Sabonis, a number of teams would make sense as landing spots. The Charlotte Hornets, Boston Celtics, and Houston Rockets could all make a case for acquiring the 24-year-old.

Boston, in particular, could fill one of its needs by acquiring Sabonis, as the Celtics try to redeem themselves after last year’s playoff exit.

The Celtics have Daniel Theis, but Sabonis would represent a considerable size upgrade in the frontcourt — which could make Sabonis, at 6-foot-11 the more favorable option.

Let’s take a look at a hypothetical trade that would send Domantas Sabonis from the Indiana Pacers to the Boston Celtics.
