This Knicks-Warriors trade features No. 2 pick in 2020 NBA Draft

Why the Golden State Warriors Should Do it

The Golden State Warriors don’t seem to be much of a fit at No. 2 in the 2020 NBA Draft, even though they had the NBA’s worst record in a pandemic-shortened season for Golden State.

The Warriors need a center, and Robinson could come in and immediately start for Golden State. He’s an upgrade over Kevon Looney, and (for now) he would come with an affordable contract.

If the Warriors trust Robinson’s potential over the next few years more than that of Ball or Wiseman, this would be a good haul for Golden State.

The Warriors would also collect a pick at No. 8 that could see them land Killian Hayes or Onyeka Okongwu, for example.

Robinson would become Golden State’s starter at center and immediately fills one of their offseason needs.
