Why This Trade Makes Sense For The Heat
Finally, the Heat should be ecstatic to make this trade if it comes up. John Wall would be exactly the kind of dynamic guard that Miami was missing last season.
Goran Dragic played out of his mind in the playoffs, but even that performance doesn’t come close to the potential that Wall would bring to the court. Wall’s offensive ability would take a ton of pressure off of Jimmy Butler.
Not only is Wall a scorer, he can also create for his teammates. That can be seen from him 9.2 career assists average. Wall would be a creator just as much as he would be a scorer, which is something that the Heat could use more of.
Giving Wall a chance to compete for a championship would bring the best out of the star point guard. Miami would be giving up a lot of value to get him, but they could replace that with veteran free agents. The Heat would be able to offer anyone that signed with them a chance for a ring.
A “Big Three” of Wall, Butler, and Bam Adebayo would be lethal. If they could retain Jae Crower and possibly even bring back Dragic, they would be set from a depth perspective.
This trade makes too much sense for the Heat to not consider pursuing this offseason.
