This Heat-Wizards trade would pair John Wall with Jimmy Butler

Why This Trade Makes Sense For The Wizards

It is fairly obvious why this trade makes sense for Washington. John Wall may be a star, but he is coming off of some injury issues and the Wizards are nowhere close to contention. Moving him for value now would be wise.

Wall has been the face of the Wizards for quite some time. Since he was drafted with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft, he has been one of the major stars in the NBA. No one knows if he can get back to that level of play.

Being able to acquire two quality guards in Duncan Robinson and Kendrick Nunn would be a win for the Wizards. Adding another first-round pick would also be valuable. Both Kelly Olynyk and Andre Iguodala could be moved for more value at some point before the NBA trade deadline.

Washington can no longer maintain the status quo and hope things turn around. They are in a rebuild and Wall can help them speed that rebuild up.

Making a trade involving the star point guard would be the end of an era, but it is a move that the Wizards must strongly consider making.
