Celtics acquire Myles Turner

Pacers acquire Marcus Smart, Daniel Theis, Romeo Langford

The Celtics don’t have an abundance of different ways they could acquire Turner, but one way would be to include Marcus Smart.

The Pacers would surely love this return, as Smart and Theis would both bring playoff experience to a team hoping to reach the next level.

Boston may not want to part with Smart, but the Celtics’ true untouchables are Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.

Smart is one of the few valuable pieces that Boston might be convinced into trading, as was Hayward in the first scenario.

Smart, 26, has two years remaining on his contract, and can be a free agent in 2022.
