1. Buddy Hield Provides Valuable Shooting
A team like the Philadelphia 76ers that features a facilitator like Ben Simmons and an interior center like Joel Embiid needs to maximize their shooting capabilities. This will need to be a priority for the front office this offseason.
Last season, Hield averaged 9.6 attempts from beyond the arc and still knocked them down at 39.4% clip. Playing alongside talents that command more attention from the defense would only open things up for Hield to get even cleaner looks.
The 76ers benefited substantially from the shooting J.J. Redick provided and have sorely lacked that type of skill-set since his departure. Philadelphia needs to find a talent that can help fill that void.
There would be additional layers to the 76ers’ offense made possible by adding Hield into the mix that was lost by Redick’s departure.
