2. Buddy Hield Is Just Starting On Contract Extension
Before the contract extension deadline during October of last year, the Sacramento Kings and Buddy Hield agreed to a four-year, $94 million deal.
It’s no secret the Kings and Hield have struggled to get on the same page over the last year. That’s a real problem when considering his contract extension hasn’t even kicked in yet.
There’s a lot to like about the contract Hield is signed to that should be taken into consideration. The amount he will earn per season is descending and it will only be roughly $18.6 million in 2023-24.
Not having to worry about retaining the top perimeter shooting threat on the team until free agency in 2024 would be a real luxury for the Philadelphia 76ers.
