Victor Oladipo, Guard, Indiana Pacers
Finally, we’re getting into an immediate “Big Three” addition for the Lakers. Victor Oladipo has been rumored to be available for trade this offseason, even though the Pacers would much rather get a long-term deal done with their star shooting guard.
Oladipo came back this season from a brutal ruptured quad injury and showed flashes of his former self. He averaged 14.5 points in the regular season and 17.8 in the playoffs. Los Angeles should not be worried about Oladipo returning back to All-Star form.
There have been some rumblings that the Lakers could look to acquire Oladipo this offseason. He would be an ideal fit at shooting guard for L.A. James, Oladipo, and Davis would be a lethal three-headed offensive monster.
Add in the fact that Oladipo is a good perimeter defender and this move would make even more sense. It wouldn’t come cheap, but the Lakers should strongly consider pursuing the Pacers’ star.
