An Extra First-Round Pick Comes In Handy

Timberwolves Get: Bradley Beal

Wizards Get: 2020 First-Round Picks (No. 1 and No. 17), G Jarrett Culver, F James Johnson, F/G Jake Layman

The Timberwolves have an extra first-round pick this year, and I’ve got both in this deal to sweeten the pot. Instead of both first-rounders this year, maybe a first-round pick in 2021 or beyond is swapped in instead. Culver looks like a big miss at No. 6 overall last year. Johnson makes the money work, and Layman is an extra piece that may intrigue Washington just enough.
