Finally, the Pacers have been a fringe contender throughout the entire 2019-20 NBA season thus far. They held a 39-26 record prior to the suspension and are expected to be a team to keep an eye on when they resume play.
Even if Indiana welcomes back their entire roster in Orlando, they could use more shooting and playmaking. What better way to add that than with a proven scorer and playmaker like Jamal Crawford.
Granted, Crawford isn’t as young and dynamic as he once was. He still has a ton of talent, but he isn’t going to come in and average 20 points per game. However, he can still get into the heart of the defense and create problems, while also stepping out and knocking down the three-ball.
Crawford may not end up being of interest to the Pacers, but it certainly seems like a logical fit for both parties involved, especially if Oladipo doesn’t play.
