Pacers: 3 reasons Indiana should sign Jamal Crawford

The Indiana Pacers are gearing up for the NBA’s resume in late July and there are quite a few questions they have to answer. One of the most important questions happens to be about the status of star shooting guard Victor Oladipo.

In a recent quote shared by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Oladipo opened up about his status for the season resumption. He is unsure if he will play or not and everything will depend on how his quad feels.

“I feel a whole lot better,” Oladipo told ESPN. “I know there’s risk going into it with the unique situation that I’m in — being off so long and trying to ramp it up that fast. I’ve just got to be smart, that’s all.”

Should Oladipo choose not to play, the Pacers would be in a tough situation. Justin Holiday, another valuable wing, has not made his decision on returning for the rest of the season. Indiana could be in a situation where they need to make a move to fill out their roster.

Thankfully, there is an intriguing option available in free agency for them to take a long look at. That option would be veteran shooting guard Jamal Crawford.

All of that being said, let’s take a look at three reasons the Pacers should take a long look at signing Crawford.
