Because he’s so instrumental to their success, his play as an individual directly correlates to the Wizards’ success as a team. That is, if Wall has a good season, the Wizards will most likely have one as well.
Wall has shown a willingness to lead the Wizards throughout his career, and this season will be no different. The Wizards have the opportunity to become one of the East’s major players, and Wall has the chance to elevate his game to another level.
He’s already both a perennial All-Star and one of the best point guards in the league. If the Wizards make a substantial improvement, Wall could very well be considered one of the best players in the entire league.
