At the end of last years, regular season Beal averaged 2.6 turnovers per game. Although, 2.6 turnovers isn’t a red flag the 6-foot-5 guard could do a better job of protecting the ball. Beal finished 23rd in the league with turnovers per game.

Last year Beal got a taste of what it’s like to be the franchise player of the team. Although, the level of competition has declined over the last few years in the Eastern Conference the accession of Beal was encouraging. Earlier in the Flordia products NBA career, he struggled to stay healthy which affected his consistency.

Beal played all 82 regular season games last season. Even though the six-year veteran averaged 2.6 turnovers per game last season it was probably because of Wall’s injury. Throughout Wall’s injury, Beal had to play a lot more with the ball in his hands which is something he is not used to.

Needless to say, the shooting guard needs to make better decisions with the ball in his hands. Too many times last season the 25-year-old forced unnecessary shots and passes. Obviously, the first time all-star wanted to get his teammates involved while scoring at a high level. However, this season he just needs to let the game come to him and take the game in stride.
