His Stats Will Be More Substantial
LaVine has put up nice stats across pretty much his entire career. His efficiency though has never been great. His career eFG% is narrowly above 50% a number that doesn’t wow you by any stretch. If he brings back a consistent perimeter shot, then that percentage will only rise.
With more talented teammates by his side, it should ease the load for the shooting guard. Markkanen and Parker will all demand plenty of attention and if Carter Jr. continues the form he showed in Summer League, then there’s no reason LaVine shouldn’t see more open looks in the lane and around the arc.
Consistency will lead to efficiency and his teammates will need to back him up for LaVine to become a more rounded player. As the leader of this young team, he’ll need to be the catalyst for all-round improvements.
His per 36 minute numbers have increased every season even though he was only healthy for 24 games last year. A healthy LaVine automatically means better numbers and percentages on all facets of the floor. A more efficient Zach could even allow the Bulls to have a sniff for the playoffs.
