The Los Angeles Lakers are the box-office attraction of the NBA on the most general of days so the addition of Bronny James is only going to intensify the attention further.
Bronny James was drafted by the Lakers this summer and he will take to the court with his father LeBron James when the Lakers kick off their season.
His performances in the summer league attracted intense scrutiny, as was expected with him being the son of James, but for now, the pair is focused on doing their best for the team this season.
The team practices have already begun and media day has given the fans many tidbits about how the dynamics in the locker room will shape up.
While many thought the presence of Bronny would be awkward in the locker room, so far, there has been a serene vibe with everyone enjoying the dynamic, perhaps no one more so than Anthony Davis!

Needless to say, a competitor like LeBron James was never going to go easy even if he was matched up against his own son.
The same also goes the other way around, with Bronny eager to establish himself in the league and make a name for himself as more than “LeBron James’ son”.
The team practices at LA Lakers must be interesting for the team and a recent incident involving the pair caught Anthony Davis‘ eye.
Davis said that Bronny hit a three over LeBron and the Lakers “talked smack” to the elder James which riled up his competitive spirit.
He said: “It’s fantastic to be hear and witness it in practice. Bronny hit a 3 over him today and everybody talked smack on LeBron. Then Bron came down and bullied somebody and got a layup.
“Bronny came down and then hit another three, off Austin [Reaves] but Bron wanted the ball. So you can see the competition is all there and that’s what we love to see.
“We all know the significance of it and we embrace it.”
Bronny James’ season of significance
When Bronny James was drafted in the second round by the LA Lakers, it felt significant and shocking at the same time.
That is because the player hadn’t shown much to prove that he was ready to play in the NBA from day one but the LeBron James factor undoubtedly helped him.
However, since then, Bronny has had an air of someone working hard to establish himself as a player on his own and ultimately, sport is a great leveller.
If he looks overmatched and costs his team points, then being the son of LeBron James is not going to help as he will almost certainly be shifted aside.
Having the connection has got him a start in the league but maintaining it will be purely up to him. For LeBron James, it is a dream fulfilled as he will get to share the court with his son.
For Bronny, it is just the beginning.
