There has never been a player quite like San Antonio Spurs rookie Victor Wembanyama in the NBA. His combination of size and skill is something out of a video game, as he produces eye-popping numbers you’d think possible only in the virtual world.

He has taken the NBA by storm, proving to be a dominant presence on both ends of the court only 60 games into his career. Not even scratching the surface of his potential, it can be argued that he is exceeding even the wildest expectations that were placed on him for this season.

In only 29 minutes per game, Wembanyama is averaging 20.8 points per game while making 46.7 percent of his shots overall, 32.7 percent from 3-point range and 80.3 percent from the foul line. He is pulling down 10.4 rebounds per game to go along with 3.5 assists, 1.2 steals and 3.5 blocks per game.

The blocks per game are currently leading the NBA. The only blemish on his stat line is that he averages 3.5 turnovers per game. But, he has done a great job of avoiding foul trouble despite having to adapt to a new league and set of rules.

NBA NEWS & SCORES: Victor Wembanyama & San Antonio Spurs Updates

In the process, Wembanyama has also made more NBA history. This has been a historic season in many regards for the French star, but he continues to re-write the history books with his performance on the court.

On the season, he has already amassed 207 blocks, 101 3-pointers and 76 steals. According to StatMuse on X, he is the first player in NBA history to reach 200+ blocks, 100+ 3-pointers and 75+ steals in a single season.

Accomplishing that during a rookie season that he started as a 19-year-old is truly mind-boggling. The NBA record books are going to be featuring him a lot throughout his career, as he is putting up stats we have never seen before.
