In a dramatic win for the Los Angeles Lakers against the Milwaukee Bucks during Friday’s NBA action, concerns have arisen over Anthony Davis‘ health following a collision with Giannis Antetokounmpo. The incident, which occurred during the second half of the Lakers’ 123-122 victory, has prompted further medical evaluation for Davis.

“I think he got bumped … He’s being looked at,” Lakers coach Darvin Ham told reporters. “So we’ll see. We’ll have an update tomorrow at some point.”

Despite the collision, Davis managed to return to the game, although his discomfort was evident. The Lakers’ bench saw Davis in pain as he was examined by a team physician, indicating the seriousness of his shoulder injury.

Davis’ struggle was visible throughout the remainder of the game, particularly affecting his performance. His discomfort was apparent, especially when lifting his left arm, limiting him to scoring only from free throws in the final quarter.

“Sore. Couldn’t really move it after that,” Davis said. “But, I’ll get some treatment and see how it feels tomorrow.”

The Lakers were already dealing with the absence of LeBron James due to an ankle injury, which Ham described as causing “severe soreness” and unlikely to fully heal until the offseason. This has significantly impacted James’ participation this season, sidelining him for multiple games.
