Lately, the Golden State Warriors have been displaying a remarkable improvement on the court, positioning themselves for a potential spot in the play-in tournament. Despite a rocky start to the season and some distractions caused by Draymond Green’s on-court behavior, the team has managed to turn things around significantly.

Green’s occasional suspensions, which threatened to disrupt team chemistry, haven’t overshadowed his popularity within the locker room, particularly among the younger players, according to insights shared by Logan Murdock of The Ringer.

In a recent appearance on Bill Simmons’ Podcast, Murdock emphasized Green’s pivotal role within the Warriors and highlighted the respect and influence he commands among emerging talents like Jonathan Kuminga and Brandin Podziemski.

“One other thing that I was surprised about Draymond this season is like the young guys are back to loving him. They love him now, like Podz, you referenced him, loves Draymond. Looney loves Draymond. Kuminga and Draymond are in a good place right, that’s been the biggest thing.”

Murdock also touched upon Green’s altercation with Rudy Gobert, characterizing it as an instance where Green stood up for his teammates, an action that was widely appreciated by the rest of the team.

So far this season, Draymond Green has featured in 27 games for the Warriors, maintaining solid averages of 9.2 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 6.2 assists per game. His shooting percentages reflect his efficiency, with splits of 51.1% from the field, 40.6% from beyond the arc, and 78.6% from the free-throw line.

With a current record of 26 wins and 25 losses, the Golden State Warriors find themselves in the tenth spot in the Western Conference standings, a position they’re eager to improve upon as the season progresses.
