Report: 76ers Trade Patrick Beverley To Bucks

The Philadelphia 76ers are trading Patrick Beverley to the Milwaukee Bucks. Beverley, one of the best defenders in the NBA, announced the trade on his “X” account.

Beverley is averaging 6.3 points, 3.1 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 0.5 steals and 0.4 blocks this season while shooting 43.2% from the field, 32.1% from beyond the arc and 81.0% from the free-throw line. He’s making $3.2 million. Beverley has a plus-minus of -15.

The Sixers are acquiring Cameron Payne and a second-round pick from the Bucks for Beverley, who signed with Philadelphia last summer in free agency. Milwaukee is in third place in the Eastern Conference standings with a record of 33-18, while Philadelphia is in fifth place in the East with a record of 30-20.

Beverley, who has made three All-Defensive teams since entering the NBA in 2012, has career averages of 8.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.5 blocks with the Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Clippers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Los Angeles Lakers, Chicago Bulls and Sixers. The Chicago native is 35 years old.

Bucks head coach Doc Rivers coached Beverley on the Clippers. The two have a good relationship. It will be interesting to see how far Milwaukee goes in the 2024 playoffs with Beverley, Damian Lillard, Khris Middleton, Brook Lopez, Malik Beasley and Giannis Antetokounmpo leading the way.

Beverley has appeared in 65 playoff games with the Rockets, Clippers and Timberwolves. He’s still looking to win his first NBA title.
