According to NBA insider Matt Moore of Action Network, the Orlando Magic are interested in trading for Kyle Lowry and Chris Paul.
Lowry is on the Charlotte Hornets. He was traded by the Miami Heat to the Hornets in the Terry Rozier deal. Lowry won’t play a single game for Charlotte since the team is rebuilding.
Meanwhile, Paul is on the Golden State Warriors. He’s currently out with a hand injury.
“Orlando has kicked around every potential option on the board, and the latest interest involves two veterans: Kyle Lowry and Chris Paul, according to sources,” Moore wrote in his latest NBA column.

Lowry is averaging 8.2 points, 3.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.4 blocks this season while shooting 42.6% from the field, 38.5% from beyond the arc and 83.3% from the foul line. He’s making $29.7 million in the final year of his contract.
Meanwhile, Paul is averaging 8.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, 7.2 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.1 blocks while shooting 42.4% from the floor, 36.1% from 3 and 83.3% from the free-throw line. He’s making $30.8 million this season. Paul’s salary for next season is non-guaranteed.
The Magic are 26-23. They are in eighth place in the Eastern Conference standings. According to NBA insider Marc Stein, the Magic are exploring the trade market for Markelle Fultz, so he could be traded for Lowry or Paul.
Lowry has career averages of 14.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, 6.2 assists, 1.3 steals and 0.3 blocks with the Memphis Grizzlies, Houston Rockets, Toronto Raptors and Heat. He won the 2019 NBA title with the Raptors.

Meanwhile, Paul has career averages of 17.7 points, 4.5 rebounds, 9.4 assists, 2.1 steals and 0.2 blocks with the New Orleans Hornets, Los Angeles Clippers, Rockets, Oklahoma City Thunder, Phoenix Suns and Warriors.
