According to Matt Moore of Action Network, some NBA insiders wonder if Chicago Bulls star DeMar DeRozan will have a new home soon.

DeRozan is on an expiring contract and the veteran and the Bulls are not close in extension talks. Chicago could lose DeRozan for nothing in the summer once free agency starts.

A six-time All-Star, DeRozan is averaging 21.9 points, 4.0 rebounds, 5.3 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.7 blocks this season while shooting 46.1% from the field, 33.9% from beyond the arc and 84.8% from the free-throw line. He’s making $28.6 million.

DeRozan told The Chicago Tribune in December that he’s committed to the Bulls, who are in ninth place in the Eastern Conference standings. If the season ended today, Chicago would be in the play-in tournament.

NBA NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: DeMar DeRozan, Chicago Bulls Updates

“Chicago is Chicago to me,” DeRozan said. “I love it here. Obviously it’s a place I want to be in my career. None of that has changed. I don’t have no other type of doubts or feelings or suggestions to be elsewhere. That don’t cross my mind.”

Sources told NBA Analysis Network that the Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat, New York Knicks and Philadelphia 76ers are interested in acquiring DeRozan. An NBA exec told Michael Scotto of HoopsHype that DeRozan “is worth a first in this draft in the 20s.”

“DeMar DeRozan is worth a first in this draft in the 20s since it’s a weak draft, and he’s unrestricted at the end of the season,” an NBA executive told HoopsHype. “He can be a third scorer on a winning team. I think he’s got some gas left in the tank.”

DeRozan has career averages of 21.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.3 blocks with the Toronto Raptors, San Antonio Spurs and Bulls. The USC product has never been to the NBA Finals.
