The Skills Challenge is a three-round competition where the teams of three players collect “Challenge Points” throughout each round. The team with the most points is crowned champion, but tie-breaker rules are in place if necessary.

Wembanyama is averaging 19.4 points, 10.2 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.1 steals and 3.1 blocks this season while shooting 45.2% from the field, 29.4% from beyond the arc and 80.4% from the free-throw line. He has 17 double-doubles and one triple-double.

“Experimenting in different areas of the game, it’s always something important and interesting to me,” Wembanyama said, via Andrew Lopez of ESPN. “Every game is different, but we’re going to see and try until we find a good recipe.”

The Spurs are 7-31. They have the worst record in the Western Conference. Wembanyama has been playing multiple positions this season, showing off his versatility.

“I’m ready to get any role and play any position and especially with our offense,” Wembanyama said last month. “I might be the 5 on paper, but I’m the 1 30% of the time and I love how we play … So the position really doesn’t matter.”
