The Sacramento Kings could trade Harrison Barnes and Kevin Huerter, according to NBA insider Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports.
The Kings have been calling opposing front offices to gauge the value of Barnes and Huerter.
Barnes is making $17 million this season. He signed a three-year, $54 million extension in June. The NBA champion is averaging 11.3 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.2 blocks while shooting 48.3% from the field, 39.9% from beyond the arc and 82.5% from the free-throw line.
Meanwhile, Huerter is making $15.7 million this season. He signed a four-year, $65 million rookie scale extension with the Atlanta Hawks in October 2021. The 25-year-old is averaging 9.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 0.6 steals and 0.3 blocks while shooting 41.8% from the floor, 33.9% from 3 and 81.5% from the foul line.

The Kings are 20-13 on the season. They are in fifth place in the Western Conference standings. Toronto Raptors star Pascal Siakam is one of the players the Kings are interested in acquiring at the trade deadline. Chicago Bulls shooting guard Zach LaVine would like to land with the Kings, but it’s unknown if Sacramento is interested in acquiring the two-time All-Star.
Barnes, who won the 2015 championship with the Golden State Warriors, has career averages of 14.1 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.2 blocks with the Warriors, Dallas Mavericks and Kings. He was traded by the Mavericks to the Kings at the trade deadline in 2019.

Huerter, who began his career with the Hawks, has career averages of 12.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.3 blocks with the Hawks and Kings. He was traded by Atlanta to Sacramento in June 2022.
