During an interview with Sam Amick of The Athletic, James Harden shared his big-picture thoughts about the Los Angeles Clippers.

Harden has appeared in 14 games with the Clippers, who are 6-8 with The Beard in the lineup.

“It’s hard to tell overall, but I think this is just a really good situation for me in the sense of having an opportunity to win, being around family and just having an opportunity to still chase my goals and things that I want to accomplish basketball-wise,” Harden said.

A 10-time All-Star, Harden is averaging 15.7 points, 4.4 rebounds and 6.4 assists with the Clippers while shooting 46.2% from the field, 40.0% from beyond the arc and 85.2% from the free-throw line.

“We show really good signs, and then we have (lapses) where it’s like, ‘Damn, we should’ve won if this would’ve happened.’ But we’ve got a whole season of this,” Harden said. “Obviously, we want to win games while we’re going through figuring it out, but we’ll see what this team looks like going into the postseason. That’s the most important thing.”

The Clippers are currently starting Harden, Terance Mann, Paul George, Kawhi Leonard and Ivica Zubac. Russell Westbrook requested to come off the bench since having four-ball dominant guys in the starting lineup wasn’t working.
