The Mavericks lost to the Clippers by a final score of 107-88. Doncic played 38 minutes and finished with 30 points, three rebounds, four assists, two steals and two blocks while shooting 12-of-27 from the floor, 1-of-8 from 3 and 5-of-5 from the foul line.

After the Mavericks-Clippers game, Doncic talked to reporters about what he needs to do better moving forward for Dallas to win games.

“Yeah, I think we need to be a little bit better on [countering double teams], and I have to play better, make better reads, for sure,” Doncic said. “Just make the easy play, don’t try to do anything hard. Just make the easy play then we can play 4-on-3. It’s not on them, it’s on me, so I have to make the simple play.”

If Doncic makes an All-NBA team this season, he would become eligible to sign a five-year, projected $318 million supermax extension in 2025. All signs point toward Doncic making an All-NBA team this season. He’s putting up MVP numbers and the Mavericks are above .500.
