Recently, an NBA Analyst ripped Anthony Davis of the Los Angeles Lakers for his play and conditioning this season.

With the Los Angeles Lakers moving along in the regular season, they are doing their best to prove that they are one of the best teams in the league and the Western Conference. Through 14 games, the Lakers have an 8-6 record and are playing some better basketball of late.

When talking about the Lakers, all eyes are always on LeBron James and Anthony Davis. The pair was able to win an NBA Title in the bubble during Covid, but have yet to return to the NBA Finals since then.

With Davis and James both being the stars of the Lakers, they are always being heavily criticized if things go wrong. Recently, Stephen A. Smith ripped into Davis about his play and conditioning this season.

So far this season, Davis’ scoring numbers are a bit down. Davis is currently averaging 22.0 points per game, below his career average. For Davis, the Lakers are likely mostly concerned with keeping him on the court, as he has a long injury history. This season, Davis has only missed one game so far which is very good for his standards.

While it’s good that Davis has been on the court, it isn’t good that Davis’ conditioning is coming into question. With how hard James works to keep his body in shape, Davis doesn’t seem to follow his teammate in that regard.

We are still very early in the season and Davis can certainly improve his conditioning as the season goes on. However, this is going to be a concern for the Lakers this season and moving forward, as they are relying on Davis to be a star for them. As the season goes on, we will have to see how Davis’ conditioning holds up.
